Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Heitor Campos made the kick off which started today's match. Basílio Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Torres's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Heitor Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marco Pacheco came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Minhotais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Pacheco couldn't finish the play. Pedro Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basílio Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Augusto Ferro's late challenge caught a Minhotais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Rui Pinho made a huge save. In the 47th minute of the match, Joaquim Sá got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rui Pinho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Pacheco to make the kick off. The referee ignored Minhotais's protests and gave Armindo Coelho a yellow card for diving instead.
