Gonçalo Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Pinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vermoeira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Assamada the free kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Heitor Campos to make the kick off. Pedro Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heitor Campos in the 56th minute of play forced Vermoeira FC's goalkeeper Henrique Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heitor Campos took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Simões. Henrique Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Vermoeira FC's Henrique Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Torres in the 70th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Pedro Torres notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Vermoeira FC's Henrique Simões. Henrique Simões was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 80 minutes into the game, Pedro Torres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Henrique Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
