Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joaquim Trindade started the match with the kick off. Bento Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Figueiredo in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute Joaquim Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jorge Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Ferro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Reis went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raul Abreu during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raul Abreu hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lagomar FC's Armando Ferreira got a free kick in the 17th minute. SC Fermontelos were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Lagomar FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rodrigo Magalhães took the corner. After taking down the ball on SC Fermontelos's corner Rodrigo Magalhães fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ricardo Ferro quite easily take care of the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Rodrigo Magalhães shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Ferro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joaquim Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Ferro having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Raul Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Fermontelos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute, Lagomar FC's Joaquim Trindade ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bento Amorim. Bento Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 36 played minutes Lagomar FC got a freekick which was hit by José Carneiro. In the 37th minute of the match Rodrigo Magalhães shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Ferro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute, Joaquim Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Fermontelos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Reis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lagomar FC's zone, Raul Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Ferro came out of the goal and Raul Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Henriques during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th minute, Lúcio Henriques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ricardo Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 played minutes SC Fermontelos's Raul Abreu stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Ricardo Ferro stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Lagomar FC of the goal. Bento Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Ferreira in the 93rd minute of the match. Joaquim Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Amorim having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Fermontelos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
