Vidigueira FC's Amadeu Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Vidigueira FC from getting a goal against them. With a left leg Amadeu Fonseca saved Vidigueira FC from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Cristiano Nunes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Galizas's Domingos Leão. Domingos Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute Tiago Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Leão having to interfere. In the 31st minute Pedro Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingos Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Nunes in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Galizas's goalkeeper Domingos Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute Pedro Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Amadeu Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Marques kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeu Fonseca. That made the score 1-1 in the 45 minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After 51 minutes, Armando Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Galizas and the Vidigueira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Vidigueira FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Correia. When SC Galizas's Armando Machado in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cristiano Nunes scored 1-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Domingos Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Armando Machado notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Vidigueira FC's Amadeu Fonseca. Amadeu Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Machado in the 80th minute of play forced Vidigueira FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Marques struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Amadeu Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Galizas. After 86 played minutes Vidigueira FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Moutinho. After 90 played minutes SC Galizas got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Maia. Cristiano Nunes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Vidigueira FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Galizas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vidigueira FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
