Vidigueira FC's Amadeu Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Azevedo in the 82nd minute of play. Sardoura's Pedro Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Sardoura from getting a goal against them. After 85 played minutes Sardoura got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Cardoso. When José Moura came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Sardoura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Moura couldn't finish the play. Amadeu Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Moura in the 96th minute of play.
