Gustavo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Moreira having to interfere. In the 10thth minute Hugo Guerreiro got a great chance to score trying to place the ball in the top left corner, but Cândido Fernandes was prepared and efficiently stopped the ball from getting in. 17 minutes into the match, Funduras FC's goalkeeper Cândido Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Guerreiro. In the 17th minute, Oliveira Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Funduras FC booed when SC Alandroal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Sandro Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Alandroal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Funduras FC the free kick. The supporters of Funduras FC booed when SC Alandroal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cândido Fernandes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from André Dias. If Hugo Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernardo Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Pedro Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Alandroal's Sandro Cruz got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Sandro Cruz off the ground. Sandro Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Alandroal's zone, Pedro Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Moreira came out of the goal and Pedro Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustavo Moreira having to make a save. If Manuel Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Gustavo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Faria in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Funduras FC were awarded a corner. André Jesus went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Funduras FC's corner André Jesus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustavo Moreira quite easily take care of the ball. If Pedro Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 played minutes SC Alandroal got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Baptista. Pedro Faria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gustavo Moreira came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedro Faria slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Funduras FC's Manuel Neto got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Cândido Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Guerreiro in the 68th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, SC Alandroal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bernardo Aguiar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pedro Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, SC Alandroal's Óscar Baptista got a free kick in the 83rd minute. SC Alandroal's Gustavo Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save SC Alandroal from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Bernardo Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Funduras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, SC Alandroal's Rui Borges got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Pedro Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
