José Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viriato Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Emanuel Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Alves in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Abitureiras getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Raul Magalhães hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the game, Arnoso's José Alves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emanuel Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If João Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Gil Vieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Brito went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-2 when José Alves sped through Abitureiras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emanuel Costa. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Abitureiras's goalkeeper Emanuel Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnoso's José Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Almeida hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Arnoso's zone, Daniel Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Vieira came out of the goal and Daniel Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

In the 51st minute, Arnoso's Viriato Leiria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The supporters of Abitureiras booed when Arnoso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Brito in the 58th minute of play forced Arnoso's goalkeeper Gil Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Basílio Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arnoso's protests and gave Basílio Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. Arnoso's Gil Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Brito in the 77th minute of play. In the 81stth minute of the game José Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abitureiras's Emanuel Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Daniel Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abitureiras's Daniel Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Arnoso's Hugo Gomes got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Arnoso's zone, Daniel Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Vieira came out of the goal and Daniel Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arnoso walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
