Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lombas's Luís Setúbal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Albertino Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mocarria FC booed when Lombas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Carlos Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Sousa. Mocarria FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Abel Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Albertino Simões's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Pinheiro was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 14th minute, Carlos Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albertino Simões to strike the kick off in the second half. If Luís Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristóvão Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. André Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Luís Setúbal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of David Sousa, passed just outside the right post. David Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Setúbal in the 71st minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, Mocarria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Viana to maneuver through the defense. David Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Setúbal in the 80th minute of play. Abel Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Lombas's goal looked a bit too open when Albertino Simões came free, but André Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristóvão Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristóvão Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
