Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Oliveira Ribeiro kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Carneiro during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 3 minutes into the game, one of Ventureira FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Luís Pinho placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Sérgio Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Armindo Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Recarei FC. If Jorge Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 9th minute, David Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Alexandre Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oliveira Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Amaro having to interfere. Fábio Delgado kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Sérgio Gonçalves took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Simões. Armindo Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sérgio Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Armindo Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Recarei FC. 30 minutes into the game, Fernando Viegas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Adolfo Amaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Gonçalves in the 33rd minute of play forced Ventureira FC's goalkeeper Armindo Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes, Tomás Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ventureira FC and the Recarei FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ventureira FC's Armindo Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Gonçalves in the 42nd minute of play. Ventureira FC's Oliveira Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armindo Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Adolfo Amaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliveira Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute Oliveira Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Ventureira FC's Oliveira Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Amaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Marco Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recarei FC's protests and gave Marco Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. Marco Monteiro hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Oliveira Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Amaro having to interfere. The supporters of Ventureira FC booed when Recarei FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Armindo Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Recarei FC's Jorge Branco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armindo Simões. That made the score 1-2 after 71 minutes of play. Armindo Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sérgio Gonçalves in the 74th minute. After 83 minutes of play, Ventureira FC's Fernando Viegas made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Amaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute Oliveira Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ventureira FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jorge Branco 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. Recarei FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
