Louroza FC's João Pinheiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Galharda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Viana in the 20th minute of play forced Galharda's goalkeeper Manuel Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 played minutes Galharda got a freekick which was hit by Marco Nascimento. 28 minutes into the game, Jaime Gaspar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Louroza FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galharda the free kick. Galharda's Alfredo Cunha couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Louroza FC. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Carlos Viana made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Galharda. In the 69th minute, Carlos Viana fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Manuel Vaz, passed just outside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Tavares in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute of the match, Carlos Viana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manuel Vaz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Manuel Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Viana in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Louroza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Tavares came free, but António Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galharda's Manuel Vaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Galharda from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastião Amaral during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manuel Vaz was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Carlos Viana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Viana really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Louroza FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Galharda.
