After 4 played minutes Sérgio Monteiro scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Marco Costa who was too lazy, 1-0. Fernando Neves struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Filipe Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Filhagosa FC. After 11 played minutes Arganil got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Faria. Filhagosa FC's André Cardoso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arganil. Filipe Anjos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Neves in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Óscar Setúbal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filipe Anjos. Arganil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Óscar Setúbal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Filhagosa FC's zone, Albertino Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Costa came out of the goal and Albertino Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Anjos having to interfere. Arganil's Filipe Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Neves in the 23rd minute of play. If Eduardo Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heitor Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Arganil's Sérgio Monteiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Filhagosa FC. If Cristiano Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Filhagosa FC's goalkeeper Marco Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Marco Costa made a huge save.
Eduardo Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Costa having to make a save. The Arganil fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Arganil's Albertino Ferreira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 62 minutes, Vasco Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arganil and the Filhagosa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Filhagosa FC booed when Arganil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Eduardo Faro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marco Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Carlos Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Carlos Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Eduardo Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Óscar Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Filipe Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Óscar Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes, Filhagosa FC's Hélder Mendes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filipe Anjos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Filhagosa FC reached it. In the 88th match minute, Arganil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Óscar Setúbal was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Filhagosa FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 92 minutes into the game, Fernando Neves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Filipe Anjos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernando Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Anjos having to interfere. Arganil were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Filhagosa FC for a fine match.
