Heitor Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Alexandre Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Esteves hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Américo Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lamarosa's Sandro Campos got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrique Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Lopes in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Sandro Campos made a precise shot to the right of Henrique Morais. Malhadinhas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Henrique Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Lamarosa's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Macedo came free, but Alexandre Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Ricardo Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malhadinhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lamarosa the free kick. The supporters of Lamarosa booed when Malhadinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Miguel Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lamarosa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malhadinhas the free kick. In the 31st minute, one of Lamarosa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lamarosa. Heitor Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Américo Valente got free with Alexandre Tavares in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 minutes, Gaspar Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lamarosa and the Malhadinhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Lamarosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Heitor Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Tavares having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Heitor Macedo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With his leg Alexandre Tavares managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Malhadinhas's Américo Valente fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Henrique Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Campos in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lamarosa's goalkeeper Alexandre Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Heitor Macedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malhadinhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Campos in the 62nd minute of play forced Malhadinhas's goalkeeper Henrique Morais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lamarosa's Alexandre Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Macedo in the 64th minute of play. Alexandre Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Valente in the 67th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Sandro Campos took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Henrique Morais to make any attempt to save it. Américo Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Américo Valente came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Malhadinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Américo Valente couldn't finish the play. When Gaspar Miranda was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. After 86 played minutes Lamarosa got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Miranda. Lamarosa's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
