Eduardo Figueiredo started the match with the kick off. 0-1 became the score in the 6th minute when Diamantino Sousa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Diamantino Sousa struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Emanuel Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Sapataria. Diamantino Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Emanuel Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Sapataria booed when SC Frioes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Diamantino Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Cardoso was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. If Eduardo Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Pedroso in the 28th minute of play. Alfredo Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Raul Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Frioes's protests and gave Raul Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. Raul Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Pedroso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, David Pedroso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emanuel Cardoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Diamantino Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, SC Frioes's goal looked a bit too open when David Pedroso came free, but Emanuel Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Frioes's Paulo Pedroso got a free kick in the 60th minute. A collision led to SC Frioes getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Cândido Viegas hit a great ball. Emanuel Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Pedroso in the 64th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Raul Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Esteves. SC Sapataria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Emanuel Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Pedroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, SC Frioes's Eduardo Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SC Frioes's Eduardo Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diamantino Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute, Diamantino Sousa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Emanuel Cardoso, passed just outside the right post. After 95 played minutes SC Frioes got a freekick which was hit by Raul Paiva. The SC Frioes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Sapataria were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
