Carlos Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Filipe Monteiro's late challenge caught a Senouras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. Filipe Monteiro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Inácio Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Carlos Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Amorim's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Amorim to strike the kick off in the second half. Rui Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Senouras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Machado came free, but Augusto Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Inácio Nascimento got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Artur Santos hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Rui Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Couto's Filipe Monteiro got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Couto's zone, Armando Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Esteves came out of the goal and Armando Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armando Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Couto's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Amorim came free, but Carlos Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Inácio Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
