Artur Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Artur Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Paredes in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Brito in the 10th minute of play forced Avecaozinho FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Coelho hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. João Rodrigues took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Artur Vaz. SC Fragoas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Artur Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Fragoas's zone, Sebastião Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Vaz came out of the goal and Sebastião Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sebastião Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. But to his dismay, Mariano Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some careless play in the SC Fragoas defense, Mariano Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur Vaz. The SC Fragoas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur Vaz should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Brito was the one to do the kick off. Mariano Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Brito in the 60th minute of play. Joaquim Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Brito in the 62nd minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gaspar Coelho was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Costa got free with Artur Vaz in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Avecaozinho FC booed when SC Fragoas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Sebastião Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Vaz was relentless in the 99th minute of the game.
