SC Fragoas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Fragoas's goalkeeper Artur Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Gustavo Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaspar Machado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Brito's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
