When Sebastião Brito came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Avecaozinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Brito couldn't finish the play. Sebastião Brito scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 23 minutes, Jaime Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With a little luck, Merujal FC's Alexandre Barros got control of the ball when Mariano Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Merujal FC's zone, Sebastião Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Barros came out of the goal and Sebastião Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Avecaozinho FC's Henrique Carneiro got a free kick in the 36th minute. Fábio Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute of the match, Mariano Costa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alexandre Barros was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alexandre Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Brito in the 46th minute of the match. Merujal FC's Alexandre Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Costa in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 57thth minute of the game Mariano Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merujal FC's Alexandre Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jaime Brás came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Merujal FC fans jumped to their feet. Merujal FC's Oliveira Leão couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Avecaozinho FC. In the 82nd minute, Fábio Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 played minutes Avecaozinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Paredes. After a rather tough play, Avecaozinho FC's Xavier Paredes got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Hugo Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Avecaozinho FC's Sebastião Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrique Carneiro during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Avecaozinho FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Henrique Carneiro hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Avecaozinho FC had won after a very even match.
