Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rafael Valente took the kick off in the first half of the match. Diamantino Vieira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mário Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Rodrigues in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Costa saved SC Pincaes from getting behind. If Rafael Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Rafael Valente put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lúcio Assis. In the 20th minute Rafael Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Ferreira hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Junca's zone, Manuel Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Assis came out of the goal and Manuel Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute Manuel Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Pincaes's Mário Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Pincaes from getting a goal against them. Adelino Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Rafael Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Assis having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Sebastião Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Junca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pincaes the free kick. After 39 played minutes SC Junca got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Vale. In the 47th minute António Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. António Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. José Araújo struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Lúcio Assis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pincaes. Lúcio Assis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Valente in the 60th minute of play. If António Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Rodrigues might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mário Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. António Rodrigues ran back to his position shaking his head. If Diamantino Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, SC Junca's Diamantino Vieira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mário Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When Diamantino Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the SC Junca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Vieira couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Pincaes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
