André Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélder Garcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Alexandre Viana's late challenge caught a Magarao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gil Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Pedroso was a little too slow when Sebastião Henriques got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Simões in the 23rd minute of play forced Magarao FC's goalkeeper Rui Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes, SC Cojo's André Vaz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rui Pedroso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Cojo reached it. In the 31stth minute of the game Gustavo Simões who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Magarao FC's Rui Pedroso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gustavo Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rui Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, SC Cojo's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Garcia came free, but Gil Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 played minutes SC Cojo got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Viana. Gil Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Simões to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, SC Cojo's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Luz came free, but Gil Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute of the match Duarte Gaspar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Pedroso skillfully saved the ball. In the 54th minute, Carlos Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Gustavo Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sebastião Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Magarao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Simões came free, but Rui Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Hélder Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magarao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 81 minutes into the match, Sebastião Henriques notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Magarao FC's Rui Pedroso. Rui Pedroso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 85 minutes into the game, Sebastião Henriques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Rui Pedroso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Magarao FC defense, Sebastião Henriques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui Pedroso. The Magarao FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Pedroso should have stopped the shot. A collision led to SC Cojo getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Fernando Fernandes hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Cojo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Magarao FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
