The tension between the Selho FC and the SC Paradanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vítor Aleixo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Luís Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Moura came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Selho FC's Luís Carneiro. But to his dismay, Luís Carneiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Selho FC's Filipe Leal got a free kick in the 28th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Henrique Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Paradanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If André Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luz struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Joaquim Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selho FC. The SC Paradanta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Selho FC were winning 0-2.

After having played for 58 minutes, António Anjos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alberto Correia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diamantino Pedroso having to make a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Correia couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Vieira in the 63rd minute of the match. Joaquim Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Oliveira Fontes had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Afonso Trindade charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Trindade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. During the 77th minute of the match Afonso Trindade completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Afonso Trindade a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Afonso Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Selho FC's zone, António Anjos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Pedroso came out of the goal and António Anjos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
