In the 22nd minute, Luís Carneiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of José Teixeira, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Carneiro in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Pedroso saved Selho FC from getting behind. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Carneiro in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, Selho FC's Diamantino Pedroso got control of the ball when Nuno Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of SC Ourique booed when Selho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliveira Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nuno Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
