A hard shot by Manuel Nascimento from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got André Vale's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, SC Povoenca's Raul Brito got a free kick in the 26th minute. Raul Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raul Brito's late challenge caught a Canos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 36th minute André Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Moutinho was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The ball had pretty good speed, but Manuel Tavares firmly grabbed it by the left post.
