Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jorge Cunha made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Covelaes FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Emanuel Pereira hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Covelaes FC's zone, Jorge Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Magalhães came out of the goal and Jorge Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Covelaes FC's Jorge Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Moutinho's late challenge caught a Covelaes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Moutinho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Covelaes FC booed when Portelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Moutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Lima having to interfere. Portelo FC's José Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Pereira in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute Henrique Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Paulo Moutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Alves in the 30th minute of play. José Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Emanuel Pereira took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for José Lima to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Alves in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jorge Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Emanuel Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrique Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Jorge Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Pereira to make the kick off. If Henrique Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Pereira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Lima having to make a save. Jorge Nogueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Nogueira ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorge Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the game, Jorge Nogueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. José Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Armindo Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Covelaes FC's protests and gave Armindo Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for Portelo FC. Henrique Viana stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Magalhães. 3-1. In the 84th match minute, Portelo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Brito to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Lima having to make a save. José Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Covelaes FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
