After a rather tough play, Galeota's Henrique Valente got a free kick in the 6th minute. Tiago Correia in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Viriato Garcia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 17 minutes into the match, Galeota's Cláudio Ferro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Vieira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cláudio Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 minutes of play Galeota's Henrique Valente was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 24th minute, Pedro Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viriato Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílcar Ferro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Galeota's Pedro Queirós got a free kick in the 28th minute. Tiago Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. When Cláudio Ferro came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Galeota fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Ferro couldn't finish the play. Cláudio Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Vieira having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Correia got free with Viriato Garcia in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiago Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. If Pedro Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amílcar Ferro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artur Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Pires's late challenge caught a Galeota's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Pires helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Torneira getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Joel Pires hit a great ball. When Amílcar Ferro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Torneira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílcar Ferro couldn't finish the play. After 80 minutes of play Galeota's Pedro Queirós was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Torneira booed when Galeota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Galeota defense, Tiago Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viriato Garcia. The Galeota fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viriato Garcia should have stopped the shot. Viriato Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Correia in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galeota's goalkeeper Viriato Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Viriato Garcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Correia's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Torneira had won after a very even match.
