Eduardo Coimbra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Eduardo Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Garcia having to interfere. Viriato Garcia made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Emílio Fontes sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute Eduardo Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 minutes, Henrique Dias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Botao and the Galeota players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Artur Delgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oliveira Vaz was relentless in the 98th minute of the game.
