An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Silva in the 7th minute of play forced SC Brunhozinho's goalkeeper Viriato Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Miguel Porto fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Brunhozinho's protests and gave Miguel Porto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, SC Brunhozinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Porto to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Simões having to interfere. Armando Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Domingues in the 15th minute. Basílio Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes SC Brunhozinho got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Melo. In the 26th minute, Bento Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viriato Coelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Monteiro in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Simões saved Lanhas FC from getting behind. If Fernando Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Lanhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Bento Silva. After 46 played minutes SC Brunhozinho got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Melo. Lúcio Pires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viriato Coelho having to make a save. The SC Brunhozinho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lanhas FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Monteiro made a kick off. Bento Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Coelho having to interfere. In the 56th minute Bento Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lanhas FC's Armando Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Domingues in the 60th minute of play. Lúcio Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Coelho having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Humberto Assis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Brunhozinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanhas FC the free kick. A collision led to SC Brunhozinho getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Humberto Assis hit a great ball. Bento Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Viriato Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Pires struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Viriato Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanhas FC. Humberto Assis was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Humberto Assis kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Basílio Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lanhas FC's Armando Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Domingues in the 81st minute of play. Bento Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 93 minutes of play, Lanhas FC's Lúcio Pires made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Viriato Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lanhas FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
