An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Freitas in the 3rd minute of play forced SC Brunhozinho's goalkeeper Viriato Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Coelho having to interfere. Fábio Faro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Basílio Domingues went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the match, Giesteira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Monteiro came free, but Fábio Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Monteiro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Basílio Domingues struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Fábio Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Brunhozinho. 26 minutes into the match, Giesteira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Monteiro came free, but Fábio Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Giesteira FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Basílio Domingues fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Brunhozinho! Afonso Cabral placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Viriato Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamantino Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Monteiro was the one to do the kick off. 63 minutes into the match, SC Brunhozinho's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Freitas came free, but Viriato Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Giesteira FC booed when SC Brunhozinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Assis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Cabral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Viriato Coelho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Viriato Coelho made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Lucas Cabral sent off a good shot on target. When Fernando Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the SC Brunhozinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Monteiro couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Cabral got free with Viriato Coelho in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fábio Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Monteiro in the 86th minute of the match. If Diamantino Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SC Brunhozinho's Viriato Coelho got control of the ball when Lucas Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Lucas Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giesteira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Viriato Coelho made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Brunhozinho fans cheered their team off the field, for while Giesteira FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
