Basílio Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Dominguess short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Jacinto Branco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in SC Arnoia's zone, Jorge Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Branco came out of the goal and Jorge Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Miguel Ferreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Lancada's Cândido Assunção was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute António Viegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Assunção having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Arnoia's zone, Basílio Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Branco came out of the goal and Basílio Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacinto Branco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Mota's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. A collision led to SC Lancada getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Tiago Monteiro hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Miguel Ferreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cândido Assunção was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Tiago Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Mota made a kick off. Carlos Domingues struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Jacinto Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Lancada. António Viegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cândido Assunção read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Cândido Assunção showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Ferreira in the 66th minute of the match. António Viegas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Cândido Assunção made a huge save. Jacinto Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Mota in the 75th minute of play. Miguel Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Assunção having to interfere. Basílio Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. António Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Lancada's Tiago Monteiro got a free kick in the 95th minute. The SC Arnoia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
