Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Chapa FC's Vítor Cunha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chapa FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Manuel Martins 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. José Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Álvaro Ramos's late challenge caught a Chapa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Álvaro Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chapa FC booed when Luso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Luso FC defense, Diamantino Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Sá. The Luso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Sá should have stopped the shot. José Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diamantino Carneiro went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. David Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Martins in the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Xavier Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Martins in the 45th minute of play forced Chapa FC's goalkeeper David Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Vítor Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Sá was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. After the first half Chapa FC were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Martins was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Chapa FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jorge Figueiredo hit a great ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chapa FC's goalkeeper David Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diamantino Carneiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and José Sá could save by the left post. 60 minutes in the game, Diamantino Carneiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without José Sá having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chapa FC's zone, Xavier Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Fernandes came out of the goal and Xavier Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Figueiredo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Manuel Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the Chapa FC defense, Xavier Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Fernandes. The Chapa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Fernandes should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Luso FC's zone, Vítor Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Sá came out of the goal and Vítor Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abel Henriques kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Chapa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Abreu came free, but David Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavier Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. David Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89thth minute of the game Xavier Abreu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chapa FC's David Fernandes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 94 played minutes Luso FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Martins. In the 98th minute, Diamantino Carneiro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chapa FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
