Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Manuel Martins kicked off to start the match. After having played for 5 minutes, Xavier Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as João Vieira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Sá. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Luso FC's zone, João Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Sá came out of the goal and João Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Martins went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 36 played minutes Raul Coelho rounded Luso FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. José Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raul Coelho to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute João Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leira's Pedro Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Leira from getting a goal against them. If Manuel Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Xavier Abreu in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Melo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Leira's Jacinto Mota got a free kick in the 71st minute. The corner led Luso FC's Albertino Almeida to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Melo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Raul Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Sá having to interfere. If Raul Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute of the match Basílio Freitas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Sá showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Luso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Coelho came free, but José Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Coelho in the 88th minute of play forced Luso FC's goalkeeper José Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. José Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vieira in the 96th minute of play. Leira were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Luso FC for a fine match.
