Prado FC's Tiago Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Melo in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Cisterna FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Morais came free, but Américo Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Heitor Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eusébio Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Cisterna FC booed when Prado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Gueifão didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heitor Melo in the 22nd minute of play forced Prado FC's goalkeeper Tiago Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Jaime Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cisterna FC's Heitor Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Correia in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Amorim saved Prado FC from getting behind. In the 31st minute, Pedro Gueifão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Melo in the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Prado FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Paiva. A collision led to Cisterna FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jaime Correia hit a great ball. If Nuno Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Pedro Gueifão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno Morais to strike the kick off in the second half. When Jorge Castro fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cisterna FC's protests and gave Jorge Castro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th match minute, Cisterna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Castro to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Américo Guerreiro during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Prado FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Amaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Américo Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Amaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Tiago Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
