Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Nuno Domingues started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in SC Espeses's zone, Simão Matias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Anjos came out of the goal and Simão Matias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Simão Matias struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Lúcio Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sogueire. Simão Matias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Anjos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, SC Espeses's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Matias came free, but Lúcio Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Simão Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Soares having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Nuno Domingues rounded Sogueire's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. José Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diamantino Moniz in the 36th minute. With an all-out effort, SC Espeses's José Soares threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joaquim Figueiredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Sogueire's José Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Sá in the 52nd minute of play. Sogueire's Rafael Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 minutes of play, Sogueire's Simão Matias made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lúcio Anjos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lúcio Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Matias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sogueire's Simão Matias got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 78 minutes, Simão Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sogueire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Manuel Soares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lúcio Anjos. The goal made the score 1-2. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Simão Matias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Soares in the 88th minute of play forced SC Espeses's goalkeeper Lúcio Anjos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Diamantino Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sogueire supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sogueire would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
