In the 26th match minute, SC Eixo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Brás to maneuver through the defense. Albertino Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Henriques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristiano Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Henriques got free with Albertino Pinheiro in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Nuno Luz put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Afonso Brás. In the 43rd match minute, SC Eixo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Pinto to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Eixo's goalkeeper Albertino Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nuno Luz struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Afonso Brás didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Eixo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Cristiano Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Leziria's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Henriques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nuno Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Eixo's protests and gave Nuno Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. Nuno Domingues hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, SC Leziria's goalkeeper Afonso Brás had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Luz. Cristiano Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Leziria's Cristiano Henriques. But to his dismay, Cristiano Henriques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cristiano Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Eixo getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Inácio Brito hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, SC Eixo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Henriques came free, but Albertino Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Henriques in the 74th minute of play forced SC Eixo's goalkeeper Albertino Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded SC Eixo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Leziria.
