SC Cilhade's Afonso Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Fonseca in the 5th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Viriato Brito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albertino Pinheiro. SC Eixo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Viriato Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. SC Eixo's Albertino Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Nunes in the 16th minute of play. If Júlio Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertino Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Nunes in the 21st minute of the match. Jacinto Moniz charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Moniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute, Artur Cruz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Cilhade's Afonso Valente didn't even have to move. Afonso Assis's late challenge caught a SC Eixo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Assis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Eixo booed when SC Cilhade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Assis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Francisco Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nuno Pinto fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Eixo's protests and gave Nuno Pinto a yellow card for diving instead. Nuno Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Eixo getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nuno Domingues hit a great ball. In the 38th minute of the match Francisco Teixeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albertino Pinheiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. SC Cilhade's Afonso Valente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save SC Cilhade from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the match, SC Eixo's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Brito came free, but Albertino Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Cilhade's Afonso Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Fonseca in the 46th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Nuno Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Eixo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Valente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Viriato Brito made the kick off in the second half. Albertino Pinheiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Francisco Teixeira. In the 58th minute, Viriato Brito made a precise shot to the right of Albertino Pinheiro. SC Eixo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Albertino Pinheiro was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Viriato Brito capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Viriato Brito really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Júlio Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Pinheiro having to interfere. SC Eixo's Albertino Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save SC Eixo from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Fonseca in the 69th minute of play forced SC Cilhade's goalkeeper Afonso Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Júlio Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Brito in the 77th minute of play forced SC Eixo's goalkeeper Albertino Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th match minute, SC Cilhade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Valente having to interfere. SC Eixo's Albertino Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Brito in the 88th minute of play. Viriato Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Albertino Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Nunes struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Albertino Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cilhade. The SC Cilhade supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Cilhade would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
