The tension between the SC Ribamar and the Vodra players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristiano Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vodra's Jorge Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Vodra from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Jorge Pinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, SC Ribamar's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Morais came free, but Marco Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Ribamar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vodra the free kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mário Machado to make the kick off. Marco Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Garcia in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Vodra getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ricardo Gaspar hit a great ball. Jorge Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Pinho in the 59th minute of the match. After 59 minutes of play, SC Ribamar's Jorge Pinho made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 61 played minutes SC Ribamar got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Freitas. When Vodra's Nuno Morais, in the 64th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Vodra. Nuno Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Teixeira having to interfere. Cristiano Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Marco Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
