Diogo Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Vítor Pacheco suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Ricardo Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cabracao FC's protests and gave Ricardo Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Cabracao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Freitas to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes, Rafael Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cabracao FC and the SC Espadanedo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 played minutes, SC Espadanedo's Emílio Barros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diogo Luz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Nuno Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabracao FC's goalkeeper Diogo Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amadeu Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Monteiro having to interfere. In the 47th minute Carlos Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th match minute, SC Espadanedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Monteiro having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Amaro to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bento Lisboa during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Cabracao FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Espadanedo:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Costa in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diogo Luz saved Cabracao FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Cabracao FC's Ricardo Freitas got a free kick in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Costa in the 65th minute of play forced Cabracao FC's goalkeeper Diogo Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diogo Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Leite in the 67th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cabracao FC's Carlos Amaro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rodrigo Monteiro. That made the score 1-1 after 71 minutes of play. Rodrigo Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Amaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Monteiro having to interfere. Carlos Amaro struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Rodrigo Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabracao FC. SC Espadanedo's Rodrigo Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save SC Espadanedo from getting a goal against them. Carlos Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Monteiro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Carlos Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabracao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Amaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
