In the 7th minute, Carlos Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo Miranda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Amaro's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 23rd minute, Afonso Henriques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diogo Luz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 31 played minutes SC Lobata got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Barros. Amadeu Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Rodrigo Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabracao FC. After 38 minutes, Diogo Fernandes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Lobata and the Cabracao FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Lobata! The referee gave Cabracao FC a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bento Lisboa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Lobata's Rodrigo Miranda. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso Henriques made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Henriques got free with Diogo Luz in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodrigo Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Albertino Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertino Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cabracao FC booed when SC Lobata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertino Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Amaro in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Miranda saved SC Lobata from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Amaro in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the game, Cabracao FC's Carlos Amaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Miranda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Amadeu Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabracao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Cabracao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Henriques came free, but Diogo Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pedro Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Lobata's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
