Rodrigo Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Assunção having to interfere. Lourenço Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eduardo Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Espadanedo's Eusébio Pinheiro got a free kick in the 37th minute. When Emanuel Santarém came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Finzes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Santarém couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Espadanedo's goalkeeper Rodrigo Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Sá to make the kick off. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Finzes's goalkeeper Jaime Assunção, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lourenço Araújo in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Espadanedo's goalkeeper Rodrigo Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaime Assunção. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 93 played minutes SC Espadanedo got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Pacheco. Rodrigo Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Espadanedo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Finzes.
