After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basílio Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute José Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 minutes, José Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baldosa and the SC Segirem players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Leite hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. José Leite struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. SC Segirem's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
