Alfredo Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Moutinho having to interfere. In the 17th minute Rogério Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Nunes came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by SC Meijoeira's Afonso Porto. But to his dismay, Afonso Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rogério Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Armando Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Miguel Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Passarela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Meijoeira the free kick. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Passarela! The referee gave SC Meijoeira a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joaquim Paredes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Passarela's Rodrigo Nunes. 2-0. Rogério Moreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Moutinho having to make a save. If Rogério Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alfredo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Rogério Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Rogério Moreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Passarela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Passarela's goalkeeper Rodrigo Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When SC Meijoeira's Afonso Porto in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 70 minutes of play, SC Meijoeira's Afonso Porto made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Nunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Porto in the 77th minute of play forced Passarela's goalkeeper Rodrigo Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Meijoeira's Miguel Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Amílcar Correia fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Passarela's protests and gave Amílcar Correia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Passarela getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Amílcar Correia hit a great ball. If Rogério Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Garcia hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The SC Meijoeira support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
