When Paulo Brás fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inacios FC's protests and gave Paulo Brás a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Estarreja booed when Inacios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Anjos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Castro in the 11th minute of the match. When Vicente Brás came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the SC Estarreja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Brás couldn't finish the play. Alexandre Anjos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vítor Castro's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. João Viegas charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Viegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Brás was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 27th minute, Paulo Brás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Manuel Simões sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Inacios FC's Alexandre Anjos didn't even have to move. Vítor Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Gustavo Coimbra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquim Moreira having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Cabral in the 58th minute of play forced SC Estarreja's goalkeeper Joaquim Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Moutinho's late challenge caught a SC Estarreja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
