Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bernardo Pires kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo Magalhães got free with Rogério Cardoso in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 8 minutes into the match, Peitimao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Gaspar came free, but Cristóvão Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cândido Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogério Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. When Pedro Dias fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peitimao FC's protests and gave Pedro Dias a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Peitimao FC's Pedro Dias got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Nuno Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peitimao FC's Cristóvão Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Magalhães in the 25th minute of play. When Carlos Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Valdoia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Gaspar couldn't finish the play. Nuno Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Cristóvão Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Borba during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Peitimao FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Paulo Borba hit a great ball. Cristóvão Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Carlos Gaspar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristóvão Mota read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Peitimao FC defense, Carlos Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristóvão Mota. The Peitimao FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristóvão Mota should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Gaspar in the 43rd minute of play forced Peitimao FC's goalkeeper Cristóvão Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Peitimao FC's Diogo Magalhães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogério Cardoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Nuno Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Gaspar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristóvão Mota. That made the score 1-3 in the 55 minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Nuno Magalhães recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristóvão Mota. Nuno Magalhães showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diogo Magalhães during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Peitimao FC got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Magalhães. Carlos Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the game, Cândido Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peitimao FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valdoia the free kick. The supporters of Valdoia booed when Peitimao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cândido Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Cardoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Pires's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. If Diogo Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, Valdoia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Pereira to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Bernardo Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Borba hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Valdoia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
