The referee ignored Carvalhosas's protests and gave Xavier Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. Óscar Macedo struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Emanuel Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carvalhosas. Óscar Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Óscar Macedo struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Paus's Cristiano Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute Amílcar Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes Carvalhosas got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Miranda. After having played for 66 minutes, Artur Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carvalhosas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Bessa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Leite showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emanuel Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Bessa in the 86th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Carvalhosas's zone, Daniel Lisboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Leite came out of the goal and Daniel Lisboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute Amílcar Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 played minutes Carvalhosas got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Macedo. Paus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Afonso Leiria in the 94th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Cristiano Silva got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-1. 94 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Paus had won after a very even match.
