Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Emanuel Maia got the match started through his kick off. In the 9th minute Emanuel Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viriato Leão's late challenge caught a Nisa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viriato Leão helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Nisa FC booed when Flamengos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. David Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nisa FC's David Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Nisa FC from getting a goal against them. Alberto Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Nisa FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Borges. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Artur Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengos's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Amaral to make the kick off. Armindo Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but João Dantas made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Vítor Pinheiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Nisa FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nisa FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
