In the 16thth minute of the game Domingos Soares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasco FC's Daniel Delgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricardo Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Domingos Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingos Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Delgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogério Coimbra was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Soares in the 59th minute of the match. When Tomás Luz came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Vasco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Luz couldn't finish the play.
