After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Rogério Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Coimbra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 29th minute, but David Faria got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving SC Lameiros hanging dry this time. David Faria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogério Coimbra's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 35 minutes, Fernando Borba made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Vasco FC's Daniel Delgado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Lourenço Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Borba came free, but Daniel Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Oliveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. If António Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Bessa in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Delgado saved Vasco FC from getting behind. Lourenço Ferro scored 0-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Delgado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Rogério Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogério Coimbra in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The SC Lameiros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Lameiros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
