Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jorge Alves kicked off to start the match. SC Calves's Basílio Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save SC Calves from getting a goal against them. After having played for 9 minutes, Eusébio Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Boimo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jorge Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SC Calves's Basílio Leão got control of the ball when Américo Brás tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Calves's zone, Eusébio Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basílio Leão came out of the goal and Eusébio Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Américo Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Basílio Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Calves's Basílio Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Neves in the 25th minute of play. If Jorge Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Alexandre Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basílio Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Soares in the 36th minute of the match. Américo Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusébio Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. Lúcio Queirós's late challenge caught a SC Calves's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. Lúcio Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Lúcio Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Alves in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rd minute Eusébio Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Américo Brás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basílio Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Jorge Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Miranda having to interfere. When Alexandre Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the SC Calves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute Jorge Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Miranda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Alves's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Eusébio Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Basílio Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SC Boimo players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
