After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Rodrigo Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milhao's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Guarda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Moutinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Milhao's goalkeeper Tiago Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Madeiros's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Moutinho came free, but Gustavo Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Madeiros's Cristóvão Azevedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiago Queirós. That made the score 2-2 after 69 minutes of play. Cristóvão Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tiago Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Milhao's goalkeeper Tiago Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Simões. During the 87th minute of the match Rafael Garcia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rafael Garcia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Milhao's Rafael Garcia got a free kick in the 88th minute. Cláudio Carneiro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Madeiros's zone, Rafael Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Matos came out of the goal and Rafael Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Morais's late challenge caught a Milhao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Morais helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Madeiros's Alexandre Morais got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute Milhao were awarded a corner. Adolfo Garcia went to the cornerflag to take it. Milhao's Adolfo Garcia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gustavo Matos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
