Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henrique Fonseca started the match with the kick off. Henrique Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Resende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Messines FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Lourenço Morais hit a great ball. Henrique Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Lúcio Resende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Nespereira. Lúcio Resende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Vieira during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Cristiano Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match André Resende shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lúcio Resende showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. João Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Santarém, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, SC Nespereira's Cristiano Leite sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lúcio Resende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Santarém, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Santarém to make the kick off. Lúcio Resende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Messines FC's Luís Santarém got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cláudio Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th minute Henrique Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Resende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Lúcio Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Messines FC defense, Cristiano Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio Resende. The Messines FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio Resende should have stopped the shot. If Luís Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gabriel Brás came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Messines FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Brás couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Resende having to interfere. After 94 played minutes SC Nespereira got a freekick which was hit by André Resende. In the 95th minute, Cristiano Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
