André Fernandes's late challenge caught a SC Alpiarca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. André Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Nuno Lisboa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armando Queirós was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in SC Alpiarca's zone, Pedro Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Lisboa came out of the goal and Pedro Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Alpiarca's Emílio Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Campos in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the SC Alpiarca defense, Pedro Campos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emílio Lisboa. The SC Alpiarca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emílio Lisboa should have stopped the shot. If Gil Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Marecos FC's zone, Gil Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Queirós came out of the goal and Gil Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armando Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Matos in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Alpiarca's goalkeeper Emílio Lisboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Armando Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Lisboa in the 36th minute of play. Eusébio Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Marecos FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Lisboa to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marecos FC's goalkeeper Armando Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58thth minute of the game Gil Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marecos FC's Armando Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Campos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Emílio Lisboa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Marecos FC's Sandro Silva got a free kick in the 69th minute. Pedro Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Emílio Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nuno Lisboa came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SC Alpiarca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Lisboa couldn't finish the play. Eusébio Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Emílio Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Campos in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emílio Lisboa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 97th minute, Inácio Miranda fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. The SC Alpiarca supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marecos FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Marecos FC.
